Selection of Volunteers & staff

All potential volunteers & staff are to undergo the same recruitment process as outlined in the Recruitment and Selection policy and the DBS Check policy.

All volunteers & staff will be required to read and sign all existing OWLS policies, and may be required to carry out necessary training. 

Supervision of Volunteers & staff

Volunteers & staff will not be permitted to be alone with or work alone with students unless they hold an enhanced DBS certificate acquired through an OWLS application process. Until this requirement is met, they are to be supervised at all times by a member of staff who holds an enhanced DBS  certificate.
